Hi everyone! Just a few reminders about our community.
Alldoulas was created, first and foremost, to be an environment of friendship and support. We are here in the doula spirit to lift each other up, help each other out, and help solve problems that might arise in our doula-ing (and sometimes personal) lives. It is a great place to receive constructive criticism, learn new doula tricks, and even to celebrate or vent about a birth. Respectful debate is always welcome, although not necessarily the focus of our community. We definantly do not all have to agree! Everyone is free and entitled to have their own opinions and thoughts, while keeping those opinions and thoughts respectful and amicable. Many of us are passionate about our careers, about doulas, and about birth, and hold high standards of care for our positions. This is a GREAT place to learn about what it means to be a doula, and to continue to learn!

Our Marketplace (Classifieds System) will be taken down Saturday night and a new system will be put in place. If you have ads in the current Marketplace, they will NOT be carried over to the new system. Please save your photos to your computer and copy the text of your ads so you can re-post them when the new Marketplace opens.

This switch is complete. Please refresh your browsers and click on the Marketplace tab to be taken to our new classifieds section. Choose the forum you'd like to place your ad in, and click New Post just like in the regular forums. Some of the classifieds forums will require you to select a thread prefix next to the title box. This is to specify whether you are looking for something or selling something. Regular members can post ads without attachments in most of the categories. Now that everyone is starting to "Fall back" into a routine, traffic in our forums is picking up, and we're looking for more help!
Do you enjoy visiting AllDoulas and participating in discussions? We need members who can check in at least once daily, to monitor their forums, check the staff forum, and see if anything needs tending to. Lending a helping hand to members in the Helpdesk, and provoking thoughtful discussions within the forums they lead.
Forum Leaders are volunteers who are interested in providing a supportive community, who help enforce the AllDoulas Community Guidelines, and have the same goals as the Administrators for this website.
