First off, what a great forum! Eventhough I am artistically challenged/delayed I love living vicariously thorugh everyone else's artwork.

I have a quick question regarding bellycasts. I made one with DD almost 4 years ago, my BIL sanded it to perfection and then he attached string to the back of it using a hot glue gun and lots of glue. It hung on my bedroom wall like this for years. We moved and again I hung it on the bedroom wall w/o incident for months.

The other morning I woke up and found it on the floor! By some small miracle it had not smashed into a million pieces (proably b/c it fell on top of my sleeping dog in his dog bed :lol) it has a tiny crack but is OK. I looked and the string came off from the back of the cast.

So, other than drilling holes into the cast (which I really don't want to do) what are the other methods of hanging belly casts from a wall?

You can reglue it as it was but I suggest glue some picture frame hooks on it giving you a wider base. From the back you can also glue or use gesso to repair the crack.
