Hi everyone (er, those of you who even remember me!)
After my partner had our baby last September, I was pretty disenchanted....not because I was dissapointed with how things turned out - just that it was so traumatic after the birth (PM me for details if you're interested - I won't bore you with them).
My plans of Doula-hood were temporarily put on hold, and with a new baby I just didn't have the time anyway....
Well, now Frog is 9 months old and I'm beginning to seriously think about becoming a Doula again. This time, I want to get certified - I'm going to get in touch with our Midwife and Birth Center, and hopefully find a couple of women who wouldn't mind me being around for their birth; just so I can get a feel for it when it doesn't involve two people I love dearly.
I'm interested in CAPPA the most, since they have a scholarship program and offer distance correspondence...
So, nice to meet everyone again!

welcome back! I'm sorry to hear those first months were rough...I hope all is well now. Congrats on your decision to get back to doula work. You know we're always supportive of that!!

I'm glad to see here again! Glad all is well with your family and you are considering doula work again. with CAPPA! I received a scholarship from them for my distance pp doula training!
Welcome back! I totally understand where you are coming from! I have a 4 month old girl and a 3 year old girl. My youngest has just put herself on a schedule now, so luckily I have more time now to check this forum and do other things. I have my first client due OCt. 4th, and my 2nd for NOvember. I am very excited!!
