Anybody In S. King County, WA?

Hi all! I am new to alldoulas.com, in fact I just joined today and was wondering if there are any other aspiring doulas in the S. King County, WA area? Or even on the eastside...Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond area, as that is where I am originally from.
I would love to connect with other aspiring doulas, I am really nervous about taking this path in life. I have no children of my own, only a step-child and really don't know any other doulas in the area.
I will be going through ALACE, may even sponsor a workshop up here if I can. Or I will be going to Eugene in May. I think ALACE fits my overall career path better. As one my friends online calls it "midwife light" and I one day hope to become a midwife.
I look forward to hearing from you all!

I'm in Marysville! Even though I'm with DONA, ALACE is a great choice and I'm sure you will enjoy them. Welcome!

Hey there,
I'm in Seattle. Have you joined PALS yet? And there are several yahoo groups for us Seattle-ites. One is called strangely enough, SeattleDoulas. There is also DoulaSupport and PALSDoulas, if you are a member. Welcome!

As far as certification, I've never needed anything but PALS.
Welcome!

I'm here!!! I'm super new though... I'm going through DONA and doing my classes at Seattle Midwifery (or... will be this summer!). I'm going to join PALS!! I'm in Kirkland, close to the fabulous Puget Sound Birth Center!

I grew up in Kirkland! I miss it terribly.

My workshop is only 2 months away and I am so nervous. I can't wait to get started and I think I have found a mentor which is also exciting.

I'm from the Tri-Cities area in Eastern Washington - quite a ways from you but thought I'd wave "hi" anyway!

Hi! I used to live out that way. I lived in Lind to be exact, about 45 minutes South East-ish from Moses Lake right around Ritzville. In case you don't know where it is. It was a TINY town :

Yeah, I moved, my landlord was psycho and wouldn't fix anything.

I went from 400 people to 80 thousand people, talk about a culture shock. I want to move back to my hometown of Kirkland but, its so freaking expensive to rent out there.
