Quick Question about ALACE and mail

Here is my semi-quick question. I mailed off my registration form and a check from Modest Needs to ALACE on the 17th of December, I sent it certified mail, return receipt requested. According to the U.S. Post Office website it got there to the ALACE PO Box on X-mas eve, which is a week longer than the post master told me I check everyday several times a day to see if someone has picked it up and nothing. I even e-mailed two days ago to see what was up.
Soo, what do I do now? Are they just out of the office still, does anybody know? I am pretty phone shy at times and I have this feeling that I am gonna call and bother someone for no reason, kwim?
I am very anxious to get started with my training and I am reading everything I can now but just want that "official" start ykwim? TIA!

I would just call them. I've had to call a couple times for different things and the people I've talked to have always been very friently & helpful. They actually have someone who is in charge of talking to members, so I would just give them a call and check on it!

I called and left a message last night, marked the voicemail as urgent so hopefully someone gets back to me. The voicemail didn't say anything about being out of the office so I assume someone is around.

I tried calling 5 different times today before finally leaving a message. I honestly have no idea what is going on. They haven't responded to my e-mail yet either and according to the tracking thing on the post office website they still have not picked up the letter w/ the check from my Modest Needs grant.

Not 20 minutes after I posted this, ALACE called me back.

Seems like there post office screwed up and never gave them the letter. They just got it today, while I was on the phone with her actually

They were quiet nice and kept apologizing and I told her it wasn't there fault, that it must have just gotten put on the back burner at the post office because of the holidays.

Hopefully the things I need arrives soon and I can start drooling over the materials. I can't wait.

I am too, now I am just waiting for all of my materials to show up. I am thinking they should be here within a week or two.
