Yaaaa First certification birth down!
So I finished my first certification birth last night and it was amazing. It was so nice to experience birth from a different view! I was kind of shocked at how the birth really made me emotional. Then today I was so sacked out that I had to call in to my other job. They called me at about 12:30am to let me know that some pretty random contractions started. Which woke me up and I couldn't sleep anymore because i was wondering if I would remember everything i should be doing, what I would do with my daughter, etc....
then i got a call around 7:45am and was told it was time to heed to the hospital. There was some drama during the laboring but for the most part it was a pretty calm birth. 'Baby Boy' was born around 5ishpm. At that moment the baby was born, I new I made the right career choice! 
Can't wait to find my next clients!

Thanks everyone it feels so good to have such support!
I received an email just this morning from the new parents thanking me for everything I did and they wanted to let me know that not only were they happy with how I supported them but the nurses and their doctor were so impressed with how I presented myself and
they saw me as an active and helpful advocate for parents and thought I really offered a great deal of comfort.
How nice, I cried when I read it. 
So thanks again for the support and advice I received from everyone!

I'm so glad to hear that you had a great experience with your first birth and that you got affirmation from the parents too! It's nice to get a pat on the back like that! Way to go!
