Will my course still count . . .

I'm not sure if I'm super slow or just can't find the answer I am looking for on DONA, but, will my workshop still count if I do it BEFORE I become a DONA member? And will it still count if I do it BEFORE I get my certification package from DONA? I know there are a couple ladies here that can answer this. I might just try and pm them also, cause it seems my brain is in anti function mode right now! Also, along the same lines, I've done a irth in the past 12 months, will that count? K, thanks!

Hi I think I can help here.

It's ok if you order your cert pack after your workshop
I'm pretty sure it's ok to do the workshop before you are a dona member
Your birth will not count if it is before you had your cert pack.

Hopefully that will help!

Thanks! That is the answer I was hoping for! Just because I'd like to save a few bucks for a little while!!! I figured my birth wouldn't count, but I had to hope, right!

You need to be a current member before you submit your packet. Therefore you have 2 yrs. The benefit of membership are; you are on the referral list, not website. You receive the ID (International Doula), E-Doula, membership rates for conferences and other items in the boutique. SO if you feel like you need to wait then you can.
Please note that your training is valid for up to 4yrs after you've taken it. Also note that you will need your packet before any births with "count" towards certification.
