When you have a client that is due several months from the time she hires you, how often do you contact her between first signing the contract and when you do prenatal meetings? I realize they will put down a deposit, but I feel like if there's no contact for quite a few months they may loose interest, but I understand that you can't call everyone all the time either. What do you find is the best balance?

I keep in contact by email. I have a prenatal tonight with a client I got the first of November. I ask them to contact me after prenatal OB appointments and we discuss any concerns. I tell them to contact me if any concerns or they have any questions. I just pop into email from time to time to see what's up in their lives. It only takes a few minutes and is a great way to continue to get to know each other.
