Babies R Us events

It has come to my attention that one must be CERTIFIED in order to participate in these events

For more information, guests should contact their local store or visit
www.Babiesrus.com and click on "In-Store Events." The following six Smart Beginnings events are scheduled to take place throughout the second half of
the year at all Babies "R" Us stores nationwide on Saturdays from 11 am to 3
pm:

August 11: Breastfeeding and Maternity Fair: In celebration of World
Breastfeeding Week, lactation consultants will share their
expert knowledge on the latest breastfeeding information,
and community healthcare professionals will discuss the
variety of maternity services available. Product
consultants will be on hand to help moms choose the items
that are right for them.

October 13: Healthy Baby Fair: Guests will meet with community
healthcare professionals and product consultants who will
share their first-hand knowledge about essential topics
such as feeding, nutrition, baby hygiene, immunization,
diapering and skin care know-how.

So when attending an event such as this, would BRU allow you to hand out your business cards? Would you attend and do so?

YES! Sorry, I should have posted and intro to this.

Several doulas here have attended the BRU events (some with success and some not)...they allow professionals to come and set up tables and distribute information.

I would not do it simply because there is no BRU near me...but if there was I totally would!

Maybe others here can give some feedback if they've participated and if they felt it helped their business, got the word out, etc.

Yes, just give them a call and ask to speak to the associate in charge of Baby Fairs. Most stores have a kiosk near the front of the store to place flyers and cards/brochures in, but you must get permission first from the store before placing them in there.

The fairs are great places to give out info and get the Doula word out there. Mothers Touch DOula and I even set up our birth tub(Aqua Doula) (minus the water) in the store during the baby fair to plant the seed and get moms picturing themselves using one. We even let them get in it. Most were really impressed with its size. Good luck!
