Holisitc Health Fair

Here are some photos of my table from the Holistic Health Fair in Lewes, DE. Event was yesterday.I had great reception and sold $102 worth of product. I got a client for placenta encapsulation and a few potential clients

5hrs of sleep before an all day event makes a doula tired!

Herbal goodies I made: Herbal Sitz Bath, Herbal Spray, Herbal Oatmeal Bath

Blessingway Beads I sell (the only thing I dont make)

No one seemed to notice the naked pregnant women giving birth on my lap top or at least they didnt care. I should get louder speakers

Better Bottom Spray: Distilled Water, Witch Hazel, Comfrey/Calendula/St Johns Wort infused in olive oil, Lavender Oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Coconut Oil, Lavender EO and Orange EO. Soon available for purchase on my site :O)

Herbal Salve: Calendula, Chamomile, Lavender, Comfrey, Lavender, Olive Oil, Lavender EO, Aloe Vera Gel and Beeswax. Soon I will be making a salve for candida and a lavender-free herbal salve.

Thanks my "hat rack" is actually a shoe rack LOL. I used the boxes I brought my stuff in to give my table dimensions and levels if you will. I got my green table cloth for $10 at walmart. I used two homemade rebozos as throws over my boxes. I rotated Business of Being Born, Orgasmic Birth and Pregnant in America on my laptop. I had a sign offering free 10min foot massages to pregnant women, great ice breaker I think. I had a bowl of free samples from various companies.

LOL I use a circle loom to knit the hats. The looms come in a variety of shapes, the circle looms come in 4 to a pack in different sizes. I use the smallest 2 to make a newborn and infant hat. It's super easy! I can bust out a newborn hat in about 2hrs if I'm not terribly distracted by my children. Infant in about 3.5hrs. The looms cost $15 and you can find them at Michaels. I normally use Lyon chunky wool but with summer coming I will blend 2 strands of thinner yarn (acrlic).

As far as the herbal products go I've been experiementing with herbs for about 3yrs just reading about them and making herbal infusions for myself. Susun Weed's The Herbal Childbearing Year really flamed my passion for herbs during my 2nd pregnancy. I made an herbal blend for my sitz bath and for a couple pregnant friends as needed. I finally signed up for Heart of Herbs Certified Herbalist course, but I haven't even really past the first 10 pages yet. I go to school PT for photography. I imagine over the summer I will get into it more, thank God it's correspondance and self-paced.

A reall great book is Natural Baby Care by Collen Dodt and Essential Oils, also by the same author I believe. I love Rosemary Gladstars Herbal Healing for Women, lots of formulas. I overtime I just developed my own formulas with ratios. I've heard good feedback on my Womb Wellness so far. I've given some friends my herbal salve to test and I use it myself for diaper rashes mainly. I used the recipe in Natural Baby Care as kind of a guide. I'm still fine tuning and tweaking it.

Within the week I will have added my herbal products and gift baskets to my website.
