Best essential oil reference book?

Hey Demetria,

I know you have a ton of books listed on the reading lists.. but have you found there is one great reference for essential oils that you like better than others? something that lists a lot of information for each of the oils? I have a couple books with some good info on a select few oils but I was looking for something more complete.

Thanks

Hi Tiffany,
I'm not Demetria, but I know of a great essential oils reference book...it is Essential Oils and can be found at: www.essentialscience.net. There is a large hard book copy but I have the pocket reference, which has proven to be a wealth of info for the smaller size & cheaper price! I am also signed up for Demetria's online class and plan on using this pocket reference inside and outside my studies!! But for her class's instruction, you might want to get Demetria's approval. Good luck!

The book I like and reference a LOT is Clinical Aromatherapy for Pregnancy and Childbirth by Denise Tiran.

A good reference is 375 Essential Oils and Hydrosols by Jeanne Rose
Anything by Kurt Schnaubelt is good.
Aromatherapy for Health Professionals by Shirley Price
Look for something that give good oil descriptions, latin names and is not owned by a product company.
