logistical question about BAI reading list

so I'm looking at the Birth Arts reading list. books with an asterisk* are required reading yet in the 'labor and birth' category, which requires one book of that list, there are three asterisks. two on authors' names, one on a title (Ina May Gaskin, Henci Goer, Active Birth: The New Approach to Giving Birth Naturally). I'm finding this confusing, in both the layout (some asterisks on the author, some on the title) and in which are required. can anyone help?

I believe Ina Mays Guide is the one that is required, then you choose the other two you would like.

but in that category, there's only one required book and three asterisks.

The way I understand it from looking at my list is in the category you have to read 2 books. Ina Mays is required, you pick the second one you would like to read. I think she put the *** just so it would stand out, because its the only one that has an * there. If you look at the other 2 categories with them (Labor progress handbook in being a doula and the complete pregnancy and childbook book in pregnancy) they both have the 3* there as well, but require 2 books. Clear as mud? lol

You can always try and email Demetria and ask. I totally understand how that list is confusing. I wonder which list is the correct one! lol

I registered for the Birth Arts Online thing but it's not letting me view that link because I'm not registered in the CD class. it's a shame that the reading lists don't match up, but thank you for clarifying.

If the category has more than one choose from the * one.
Please feel free to email me directly.
I will see how I can make the online list easier to understand.
