My Cappa CLE workshop
I'm supposed to be packing for my Cappa CLE workshop but I'm so addicted to AllDoulas I had to jump on and check in with you all  I'm excited to be going but am a little nervous leaving the kids with Kirk for the weekend. He's not used to being with them and running them to Little League and Softball.  I hope they do OK 
The instructor is letting me bunk with her for Saturday night. Kirk had booked me a room at Motel 6 with instructions to not go out after dark. Geez! What was I supposed to think? So I asked if anyone would be willing to let me bunk with them for the $55 it would cost me at the Motel 6. Luckily Michele said yes! I'm feeling much more comfortable now 
K-I'm off of here so I can pack. Wish me luck...

Hi All! I'm back from my Cappa CLE workshop. It was good. There were a couple of NICU nurses and the rest of us were Doula's. There were a total of 9 women in the class. I roomed with the instructor and another attendee. The hotel was nice and going out to eat was wonderful.
I think I'm going to concentrate on my CLE certification first. I get to do the accelerated program, now I just need to hit the books!

I wish I could do the accelerated program too, I never got certified for my CBE though. I'm working on my CLE and PPD at the same time, hoping they'll kind of work together for me. Good luck with yours

That's kind of what I'm doing too. I'm working on my PPD thru Dona and my CLEthrough Cappa. I'll over lap some of the written work like a resource list and why I want to be certified, etc. I love that we're all working "together" on our certs and can support each other. KWIM?
K-gotta go clean house. My dh is coming home after a long week on the road. I figure I better clean because he's going to have kids all weekend while I work.  :wink

That is cool! The other doula groups don't really talk a lot about pp work or the cle work...
