Question Best Breast Pump?

If you have any personal experience with breast pumps or have know a mother who was using one, what kind was it and did you like it?

rofl, i have more than adequate experience with pumping.

if mom is going to pump frequently, she needs a double electric pump- the only 2 i would recoemmned are ameda or medela. if she is only pumping opccasionally a hand pump will likely be fine. either of the aforementioned brands or the avent isis.

i would never recommend asnyone use anythign by evenflo, gerber, the first years etc. as they suck (in some cases they actually suck too hard, adn in some cases they dont suck enough, )

I used a Medela Pump in Style when I worked part time after dd was born. I also used an evenflo hand pump right after she was born (so I could pump off a little milk so dd could latch). It wasn't all that good but it did what I needed it to. It would never work for someone that is working, though.

I bought a medela pump in style as well and really liked it. A double pump so you can get finished easier. I used it a little with baby #1 after not having success with the advent hand pump-allthough i'm not sure that i really understood pumping or let down or much else when i was using it-anyways the electric medela one took the thinking part out of the equation...it did all the work! I used it a lot when my second guy had heart surgery at 8 days old and i was SOOOO glad i had bought it!!
An investment compared to the hand pumps but for me....but so worth it.

I use the Avent Isis breastpump and I highly recommend it to SAHM's who don't need to pump a whole lot. If you need to pump frequently (such as returning to work) then I would probably suggest the Pump in Style (although, I don't have any experience, I've heard nothing but good things about it). But for occasional pumping, the Avent Isis is very economical and works very well.

I'm also a SAHM and I loved the Avent Isis. I breifly went back to work part-time when my third was 3 mths and I would pump during break. I loved that it was manual and didn't make any noise but it pumped out quite a bit. I think it's the perfect pump for mom's who only work a couple hours a week or want the ocasional night out.

I didn't have much luck with the Avent Isis, I ended up selling it and buying the Medela mini-electric. I was also a SAHM for my son's first year so I didn't pump too often. If the mom needs to pump more than 5 times a week or so then I'd reccomend the Medela pump in style
