I am a CBE!!!

I interviewed with our hospital last week for a CBE position, and I got the job on the spot!! I am so excited to do this, as this will tie into the doula business really well! I can't wait to inform moms and their partners about childbirth, and the possibility of following them as their doula! I started my training last weekend, and will continue for a few months, and the classes that I will be teaching alone will start on Feb. 6th!! I'm praying that I will be able to teach everything I can to new moms!

Fearless.......actually through our hospital, you don't have to be certified as a CBE to teach. I would like to, however, in the future become certified.

My training involves attending the classes of the current CBE, to become more knowledgeable in teaching the cirriculum. (SP?) We will be switching off teaching the classes...she'll be teaching one six week class, then I'll teach the next one, and so on. (our classes will overlap two weeks, so we'll have off 4 weeks in between classes.) Then, there are two weekend express classes that I will be teaching each year!

I am really excited about this!! Can you tell?
