Forum leader name change announcement

Just a public service announcement. I changed my username from wombservice4you to EvansvilleDoulaCBE and I will leave "formerly wombservice4you" under my new title for a week or so just for a reminder.

I go away for a few days and you and Bex both change your names!! I thought something was different there. I'm a bit slow today.
I hope your house is ok after the lightning strike! Very scary! Been there, wear that t-shirt! (I'm originally from Columbus, OH) Hang in there and I hope the new storms coming in spare you!

You are from Ohio? Wow..FL is a big change, eh? I have family in the Arcadia area and they had some tornados go through from what I have been reading in the paper. Some scary storms this past year. I bet barring hurricanes, FL is much nicer, LOL

Well, I'm from Ohio...born and raised and then married and moved all around with the military. Came here to the Panhandle of FL after 15 years in San Francisco. Yes there have been some scary storms this year so far...and the season has just started! Already been through two major hurricanes and a few tropical storms here and I hope this year is mild again.
You guys be careful up there and I will keep hoping that the season is mild!

I am not sure exactly where the lightning hit.. one minute dh was watching Indiana Jones and holding our baby..I was checking my email across the room and tracking the storm online and then crack.. everything OUT..then it came back on with just enough time for dh to say..I hope our v-card isn't fried on the computer and then crack.. out again..

kids comes streaming out of the bedroom..and everyone else had power except for 3 homes on our side of the street; very odd. We lit a few candles and after tucking the kids back in to a family cosleep party we went to sleep The power kicked back on sometime in the middle of the night around the 2 am area. I was just praying our electronics weren't fried..that happened about 5 years ago and we had to get a new video card for our computer.

So..other than being sleep deprived from 2 nights of loud tstorms..no harm no foul. I was hoping the power would come back on because I have a fridge and deep freeze that I was worried about loosing food out of..we were really blessed to have power restored during the night because since we were sleeping anyways, it wasn't so bad. Thanks for asking. I hate night time storms because I get nervous after those freak tornados that happened during the night a few years ago..and then this past winter is all too fresh in my head. We don't have a basement so we have to book it to the neighbors if we get the automated phone call from news14 I hope this storm stuff passes quick.
