Should I change my biz name, plz be honest
I kept Blessed Bottomz only because I also have another store by the same name. The other store makes sense to have that name, but for doula services, it seems kinda off for me. I also did it mainly so I wouldn't have to buy another website and domain, but now I'm thinking it might be worth the extra expense since business is really picking up. And to add, having only one site brings people to more readily view my diaper site as well, but thinking about it, I could just put a link on the new site. Have I confused anyone yet
Here are some names I'm throwing around, I have no idea if the domains are even available.
Loved Before Formed
Peaceful Welcome
Teresa's Doula Services (really original huh?)
Birth Support
Everyone Deserves a Doula
All Natural, All the Way
Going the Distance
Mother's Intuition
Everyone needs a doula
Delight in a Doula
Delightful Doula

I vote to have a separate name for your doula services.
Maybe keep something with Blessed in it so that it ties both of your businesses together. ?

Blessed Beginnings? Or Blessed Beginningz to tie it in even more?

First, yes, I think you should have a separate name....even though the extra website, business cards, etc will cause more expenses, I think it will be well worth it and make more sense.
I LOVE Amy's idea of Blessed Beginningz. It stays similar to your Blessed Bottomz but relays a different idea.

I agree. Blessed Beginningz! Although, there is a doula out here with the same name just not with the z.

Blessed Beginnings is really cute, but it is taken. I don't really care for the z at the end of Blessed Bottomz, I only ended up with it because the domain for s was taken.
These were available though:
Blessedwithbaby
Sweetbabybeginnings-I kinda like this one.

As someone who has more than one business I am going to disagree with the other ladies. I do not think it is a good idea to have two businesses with two totally different names - it is a pain in the rear. It is easier to carry one business card and hand that out then shuffling through to find the right business card for the right person. I started out with my doula business and picked a name appropriate for that and then when I went into massage and hypnosis that didn't fit so I chose a separate name. I now have two registered business names, two separate checking accounts (one for each business), separate business cards, brochures, etc - it is all a pain. Plus you also need to figure out how you will answer your phone - which business name will you choose or will you say both?
Honestly I just recently decided I was putting together one name that covers all the stuff that I do and plan to slowly phase out the two separate names over the next few years. So right now I am going by
Hardy Alternative Health Services (Hardy Hypnosis and Massage / TLC Doula and Educational Services)
The one thing I did do though was buy a separate domain name and have it redirect so regardless of whether someone puts in my old domain name or the new one it takes them to the same website which is cool.
So - that is my two cents on the whole thing, and I wouldn't have two separate business names because it really is a pain.
