Need help with a business name!

I am so bad at this!

I was all set to steal from Kylie and do something with "Neshama" in the name - I absolutely love the meaning, and feeling that invokes. But, after thinking about it, I don't think that name will inspire enthusiasm in most of the women who live in this area. I am in Cali but not in a new-age-woo-woo type of area (nobody get your panties in a bunch, I am so new-age-woo-woo). So, help me out here.

Transitions (subtitle "support for the childbearing year")
or Gentle Transitions (with or without "Birth Services" after?)
Belly, Birth, and Baby (subtitle???)
Mother Blossom Maternity Services
Motherbirthing (subtitle??? more to the name???)
Or should I just stick to Neshama Doula Services?
Or should I go the entirely other way and make it more stark sounding, like "Tri-Valley Doula Services"?

Oh, FWIW, I am working toward certification both as a labor doula and as a Lamaze instructor. When I am certified I plan to also work toward CLE, Happiest Baby, Carseat tech, postpartum doula, as well as offering bellycasting, maternity photography, and blessingways... if that helps you see the scope of my business.

So what do you like?

Thank you!

Hmm.... What all do you like? Like words that describe you or something? I would do Birth Services instead of Doula Services b/c you're offering so much more than doula services. Mother Birth Services? Nah I don't like that one. Umm... Transitions Birth Services? Maybe. It's not 'it' though to me. Let me think about this for a little...

I agree, it needs to say "birth services" since it will include so much more. My business name is Birth by Design with Doula Services tacked on to explain what I do, but in a couple of years, I may need to change it because I plan to do so much more, like private CBE classes, breastfeeding classes, sibling classes, doula training, prenatal yoga, and other things such as birth jewelry and art (including belly casting), and ONE DAY, be involved in a birth center...hubby is also building a website for me to sell my doula and "lactivist" shirts and onesies, so you get the picture! Have you thought of anything with a more direct new-age-woo-woo sound to it? I mean, I am not new age, but if I were, I might be able to help with that brainstorm! Those names just don't sound that new-age-woo-woo to me! What about Mother B'earth Birth Services? Or is that more crunchy than newage? I'm no help to you! I'll keep checking the post to see what others suggest b/c I'm really interested!

Thanks, will definitely go with Birth Services in there somewhere.

To clarify, while *I* am a new-age-woo-woo, most of the clientele around here will not be, so I'm actually trying to avoid business names that scream "hippie"... though I guess the general perception around here is that doulas will be hippies anyway, so maybe it doesn't matter if the name is hippie. Hm.

Thanks for the input and ladies, keep it coming! I need help!

I'm still thinking. I had a good idea but I didn't write it down and now I can't remember it. Hmmm....
