What program are you using? I would make sure it's set at 72DPI for internet use otherwise it will be huge! I set alot of my photos at 300DPI for use on my site and just shrink the size but 72DPI is perfect for the internet.

If you don't have Adobe Photoshop, download a free program called The Gimp. It's just as powerful and you can use it to resize images without losing quality.
