Thank you letter to doctor - what to write?

Hey,

I what to send the doctor a letter on what a great experince I had with working with him and to send some of my business cards so he may referral. Do you think it's a good idea?

Also I am a bad writer so how do I start the letter? Like do I first talk about the client to refresh his memory or something?

I think this is a great idea. I am sure there is someone here who has actually done this and would have more info but I would assume you would start it out with "dear ???, my name is....I met you on (date) when I attended (name here) and her husband during their birth. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed working with you blah blah blah. I am sure a couple of specifics would be nice, so he doesn't think it is a form letter. I would word it to say If you know of anyone who might benefit from my services please pass on my information. Nothing too long, people don't like to make time to read these days.

As I said, I don't have experience with this to date but this is how I would word it.

That's an excellent idea! Also, you may want to think about talking to his or her office manager or staff as well. They work closer with the nursing staff and check the women in and out. They may have a spot on the counter where you can place business cards, etc.
