Question Parent Resources Page - Multiple Birth Websites?

My very first doula client is now living in Fayetteville, NC (her dh is stationed in the Army there). She is expecting again with boy-girl twins (due Oct. 21, I think) and is having them at the Army hospital. Wish I could be her doula again (she probably needs a doula more this time than last time!!) ...she'd like me to, but I can't travel down there at this time (especially not knowing exactly when the little ones will make their entrance!).

Anyway...got distracted there! She suggested that I list some links to a few good multiple birth sites on my Parent Resources page on my website. I'm not coming up with much, though. Do any of you know of any good multiple birth sites? I'm hoping to find ones that are consumer minded & mommy-baby friendly (NOT "she's having twins, so lots of interventions and a Cesarean is definitely in order!" kind of place. You know.... ). I suspect they are few and far between...

Any ideas??

I love this particular twin homebirth story. It is a friend of my doula trainer http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/twinsm...wins+homebirth There are also tons of twin homebirth stories all over the internet. I'm not sure if homebirth stories are exactly what you want but it seems that those are (obviously) the ones without the cascade of interventions.

Thumbs up

Oh, homebirth stories are GREAT!! Thanks for the great link!

I guess a variety of "genres" would be good. Birth stories (home/hospital/birth center...wherever! ), evidenced-based informational/educational sites, support sites,...really...anything. The only thing is I want to make sure that the info on each site is consistant with my (and probably all of our's) birth philosophy as a doula. (i.e. supporting midwifery model-of-care or like-minded physicians, no-to-low intervention unless absolutely necessary, etc.) Oh....and I really would like to have some natural twin hospital birth examples, as that's where the majority of my clients around here will birth.

Btw...I have yet to attend a homebirth, and I'm itchin' to do so!

I actually just read a birth story from a local doula's website about a natural twin hospital birth. I'm sure you would have to ask her for permission to use it.. at the very least you could have your client read it..http://www.informedchildbirth.com/Birthstories.html You have to scroll down to find it
