It looks good!
I really want to redo my website and totally change the colors. I'm just not feeling creative right now.

thanks all!! i used a template program for the background stuff lol i've been meaning to fix my website for a LONG time tho, and i really like this new server, no pop ups, and i can arrange things any way i like instead of only being able to place links and pictures in specific spots for example.

Feedback requested... I'm answering w/my thoughts and just hoping you know that I am saying them with a loving heart and no offense intended!
I would say that looking at your text and how many exclamation points you want... I have the same disease, I feel that exclamation points help me to
'look' excited and friendly, but you can only read so many in a row before the reader starts wondering if you're just hyper! LOL
Also, on my browser your text is huge, maybe like 16 or 20 points (I'm using Firefox). A good size text is great and I like the font and color because they're easy to read, but I think it might border on a little too large? For my tastes, anyway!
I feel like the logo backround should blend in with the page so it doesn't look so much like a separate image.
The colors you've chosen are GREAT. The format is easy to navigate, the text is easy to read, and the images are great quality!
You might reconsider the 'welcome to my new webpage' part too... what does this tell your client about you? Other than that you have a new website, your clients won't care if it's new or not. KWIM?
Don't be afraid of indents, or bullets when you have lists. It helps to break them up from the rest of the text.
If you're going to reference the 'studies' that show how great we doulas are, you should absolutely 100% provide a reference. You should be referencing the actual studies, not the source where you found them.
I'd love to see a picture of you on the 'About Me' page!
Font should be uniform on every page- the Contact Page has a different font than the rest of the site.
On your photo page... a disclaimer that the photos are graphic would be pretty important, if a potential client looks at your photos and has a child standing by, she might not be thrilled to see the graphic photos w/no warning! Maybe providing a link to an album instead of having all the photos on one page will allow you to have a lot more photos, keep page loading time low, and give the reader the option of looking at a graphic album or a non-graphic album, ykwim?
Be sure that you have permission to use all the photos on your site! Written releases where you can get them, for sure!
I hope this is helpful!

On her home page there is a disclaimer for the graphic photography. Just takes some scrolling.
"Notice:
Pictures in the photo section may be graphic birth photos. If you don't want to see a baby being born, don't click there! If you're a birth junkie and DO want to see babies being born, you'll enjoy the nuchal cord shot :-)"
Otherwise awesome feedback. Maybe the disclaimer could be moved to the top of the photos page so that they can read that and then continue if they wish? Sometimes people bypass the intro page...
Great site!

thanks for all the info!! ther eis the disclaimer there, i can certainly add another one. I do have permission to use the photos from the mothers, and I took or was in most of them.
i put welcome to my new page as there is a link to the site from my old established web page. i'll eventually chnge it as it gets t be an older site.
i cant figure out how to make my logo blend, i thought of that too
the font is big on my screen too, i tried making it smaller but it was really hard to read.
i can certainly cite a study or two on how fantastic doulas re.
thanks again!

I might be able to help you with making the logo blend! Let me see if I can do it and then I'll PM you.

Wow, your site is very nice. It's easy to navigate, and very "you". I like it! BTW, my Mom was born and raised on John's Island.
