Physiology Manual - CBI Training

Hey all!

I am currently sifting through the Physiology Manual in my CBI doula training journey. I'm finding it pretty thick going, and wondered how anyone else has previously found it or currently going with it??

Any tips or hints you could give me on how you inspired yourself to keep sifting, if you found it difficult, would be much appreciated!!

Thanks, all!

It was the most difficult for me as well, probably because I wasn't quite as fascinated with it as I was with the other modules. I found it all quite confusing at times, to be honest! Just take it one chapter at a time. Don't try to cram too much information in during one sitting, because you'll quickly get overwhelmed.

Well it is very sort of physiological. LOL. Yes, very detailed. Fairly indepth for my way of thinking!!! But good at the same time. Like someone else said, need to take it slow!!!

You would enjoy by the sounds!!

I haven't even looked at it yet. I have been doing the communications one, thinking I am saving the best for last. LOL Maybe I should go back and forth? I am excited to start that one and get into it deep. But I am more of an emotions person too, maybe this will be tough.
GOOD LUCK!

I'm also going through that part. I'll read the chapter one night and go back the next night and read it all over again. I bought myself some index cards and I'm going to put questions on one part and the answers on the back so I can do some studying, I feel it is harder to read through the book and have the answers right in front of me. I've been highlighting, what I believe are the important parts through the book, so when I go through it again I just skim the highlighted areas.

Also do you have anybody around you in the medical proffesion that could help you? I have a friend who is a labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital and my other friend is in college to become a RN, so I talk to them and ask question becuase things don't seem so foreign to them. When I ask my finace for help, he tries, but he doesn't understand, so it is much easier to talk to them.
