OPS Online Class Question
Hey guys!
I start two online classes through Ontario Perinatal School next week and I was just wondering if I could get some tips and/or info from previous OPS Grads about the workload, class format, etc.
Kathy told me she would get in touch with me about getting me set-up but I'm driving poor hubby crazy checking my e-mail every ten minutes... so I was wondering if any of you could help my impatient self out.
What's the process? Just HOW much work am I looking at? That kind of stuff.
Thanks in advance!

Kathy will send your assignment out, and there are generous deadlines...usually at least a week to get it done. She is also understanding if you are late. I have 2 that I am working on as we speak, and trying to get these assignements finished.
Then you email it back..generally to the group and you also get extra points for posting comments to other students. This can generate some class conversation.
Kathy emails you your assignment marks back to you.
It seems confusing at first, but you will catch on pretty quick. I am starting my 4th course through OPS.
If you have more questions...just ask me!

I think it was a very busy week for her, as a couple big assignments were sent in.....by everyone except me.!
And it was also back to school week for her girls.

I would be happy to help anyone navigate the waters as Kathy and I are working pretty closely together lately.
Yes, many of the program are 50$CDN, with the expception of the Doulas Trainings, Breastfeeding Support, Perinatal Educator.
Kathy is on as often as she can be, she has dial-up internet although her community with be receiving high-speed this week(friday I believe)!! Which I am so happy for her, it could increase her productivity 100fold!! I have encouraged her to join MSN, which would make her accessible at certain times a week for questions.
As Michele pointed out, last week was a pretty hectic week with the girls going back to school (the 2nd going full time) and quite a few major assignments in. Please be patient with her, I am sure that she will get back to you in due time. As always I am available to answer any of your questions. I need to point out that Kathy maybe understanding for lateness to a point and need. She gets quite frustrated when assignments come in extreemly late and she is on to the next Unit. It is hard to find a flow and it sets her back when she is marking late assignments. So I encouraged you to get the assignments completed in the given time, work hard and it will come back to you!! Best of luck and feel free to post your questions.
