Question CBI-Distance Study - How many bytes

Hello to all CBI-Distance Students

I´m thinking of starting CBI Distance Education. And i would like to split my payment. So i am dependent of getting the material through the net.
My internet conection is via a contract which allows me to receive or send 1 GB per month. Every byte more leads to a lot of additonal costs.

The normal conversation will be no problem. But it is the material and films i will receive i fear, because i can only see how much i get after i received it. Has anybody some knowledge about how much bites get transmitted? Will the Topics be sent all together or can they be splitted and received one by one. The possilbility of splitting will give me much more controll.

I asked CBI first of course, but they have no idea about the bites volume.

Thank You

hana

All of the material is accessible online - you don't need to download anything. The set-up is similar to the AllDoulas forums; all of the reading material will be located on the CBI website, with the occasional external link to view supplementary articles and video clips. You completely control the pace you work at, and how much content you prefer to view each day/week/month.

Thank you very much,

So it will be of no real problem. Somehow i had this wrong idea in my head of clicking the button and then the computer works and works without ever stopping. Happend to me once when i tried to retrieve some information from the taxoffice.

Aussiedoula, you saved my day.

No problems!

You don't actually "receive" anything... It's all available as online content. I wonder why the folks over at CBI didn't clear that up for you?

I did the payment plan. So, far I enjoy that the training is at my own pace. My only two complaints are:

(1) After I pressed "submit" on the payment is when I realize I wouldn't be receiving the hard copy of the training materials until after I was done making all the payments.

(2) In the beginning it' s a little confusing to nagivate the site. It's as though there are pages within pages, within pages. Now, I seem to have gotten the hang of it.

Good luck,
Ananga

Dear AussieDoula

CBI tried, i am still just a kind of computer illiterate

Hello ananga
So i did the payment plan too. It is a very new feeling to learn online, but it feels ok for the moment. I will have to make excerpts to think about for the times i can´t be online.
For luck i don´t pay for the online time. until now the manual doens´t seem to be to bulky biteways. It is well structured and i like the box in the box pattern.
