HBOTB

I just received my notification that I have met my requirements for The Happiest Baby on the Block educator!

I'm soooo excited and can't wait to start teaching this.

For those of you that already teach this, do your classes really last 2-3 hours?

What do you take with you? Do you take a swing?

I'm just ecstatic!

Suzanne

Congratulations! My classes last just about 2 hours. I just take the baby and a blanket to swaddle it in.

Do you do already delivered clients, pregnant clients or both?

Sorry to be so inquisitive. I'm so happy I could pee my pants.

So far I've only done new parents. It seems that once they have the baby in front of them they realize it can be difficult!

Congrats Suzanne!

I've only taught 1 class since being accredited in October, but then again, I haven't really been marketing HBOB either.

The class I taught (which I SO overprepared for!) had only new parents. In addition to the folders made for the attendees which included all the handouts, I brought my doll baby, the blanket, the CD's, sign in sheet, name tags, and the book.

Plus, I made a big three ring binder with everything I needed to cover all laid out. Hey, at least for the next class I won't have THAT much work to do, right?

My class was 2 hours. I made sure they did the evaluations immediately after the class too. I offered to step out of the room and let them hand off the evals to someone else so that they could be honest. They just gave me the evals though.

Best of luck to you!

I have a separate office/classroom on my property

You can see pics of it before I moved in (aka with all of my brother's recording stuff in it) here: http://borrellihousehold.blogspot.co...be-office.html

Thanks for the replies!

I found a class outline on the HBOTB website and will personalize for me.

I will be teaching mostly at the hospital I work at AND will do paying customers also.

I'm now off to do an infant massage course.

I'm loving life right at this moment.

Suzanne

Congratulations Suzanne! I met Dr. Harvey Karp this morning and enjoyed his presentation very much.
