3rd Question about CBI

I promise this is the last question...for today

To be completely honest, we cannot afford for me to register with CBI, and might not be able to for about another month. I know they accept payments, but don't even have extra money left over each month just yet. Anyway, my question is:

I want to get started as soon as possile with my training, so can I start the required reading, and just register with CBI when I am ready to do my book reports? I am doing the Poastpartum Doula training and plan on getting my books from the library for now.

Last thought: What all can I get accomlished before I actually have to pay to register with CBI?

The books and births are to be completed after you begin training.

I just joined CBI and if I remember correctly they said you can do the reports on other books you have read previously but they do recomend that you reread ar reference it prior to the report...I will try to find the exact info and copy it here.

OK never mind, I just found the page it referenced to and it was about a report on a birth you have been part of. Not the book reports. You have to do a look back on a previous situation and it can be something previous to training, on top of having to be at 2 births AFTER training. Sorry I got the reports mixed up...

This is what they say about the book reports..
You are required to read three books for your Doula Certification and submit a brief review on each one. Details of the reading list can be found below.

The books you choose MUST be from the reading list unless head office has expressly given permission to read an alternative due to lack of access to books (for example, students in remote areas or in countries where bookstores and libraries are not easily accessible). If you read a book that is not on the list, without prior approval, the book review will be rejected.

The books you read MUST be read AFTER you started your training.


Sorry I got my info mixed up, there is alot to take in at once...
