Community Action Guide- Born in the USA

Those of us doulas, who consider themselves to be birth activist (or not) here is a good community action guide, it's in PDF from Mothering. Some things to do to build a community dialogue, by getting the movie Born in the USA out there, and rally support for improving maternity care. Most of us know what steps we can take, but I like seeing an outline myself, that can apply to other activism efforts.

Geez -- I am such a pusher for Born in the USA, how did I miss this thread from over two weeks ago. Thanks Stacie!

ok - after looking at the website I can see that this is not based on the book, huh? I love the book, but this appears to be something completely different, but it still has the name Born in the USA. That is why I thought it was a movie being based on the book possibly...? Does anyone have any facts if this is based on Marsden Wagner's book or not? It still sounds like a great community action and I have printed off all of the material and plan on contacting my local pbs station about broadcasting it. Any more info would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Dot- I don't think the film has any direct link with Marsden's book. I think the movie was actually produced before the book, though they both contain a similar anthem and title.
Here' s more info on the movie : Born in the USA
