New York City encouraging breastfeeding?

Hey--did anyone hear on the news yesterday that New York City hospitals are encouraging breastfeeding to be healthier for mom and baby?

They are taking out ALL formula and formula coupons from their "diaper bag" give-aways that they send home with newborns. Truly encouraging breastfeeding!!! Wow..I am totally amazed and thrilled.

I love what NY is doing I heard from my mom today that NY is "forcing breastfeeding" lol So I had to go look. My ultra conservative father was in an uproar I see the hospitals are getting rid of the free formula samples, not formula for moms who choose to formula feed. My mom was telling me "your dad said all moms will now be forced to breastfeed" lol I sent them an e-mail explaining the ban

Anyone who has ever lived in NY knows the Rupert Murdoch- owned Post is almost a tabloid. Unfortunately, a lot of people read it every morning and believe its sensationalistic news and incredible bias.
Could you imagine a cop walking up to woman feeding formula to her baby in a NY park and demanding she take her breast out to feed under threat of arrest? It's just ludicrous!
