Informing local parents to be/how?

Hey doulas,
A while back there was a BOBB screening locally and a discussion afterwards. A few of us came up with an idea to publicize and advertise and show the film publicly and have a panel for people to ask questions afterwards.
Has anyone done anything like this? Do you have a better idea? I want to get busy on planning but wanted to see if this has been done and the dos and don'ts.

Like host your own screening? nicole.schwartz and I did that back in November. We raised over $1000 for the birth fund we're directors of. It was relatively easy to organize - feel free to pm me with any questions!

How did you raise money? Did you take donations or charge a fee for the screening?

When I went they charged a $15 fee.

Can you still do public screenings of the film? I looked on their website and it appears that ended in the spring?
