Need help with a "town hall" meeting with texas medical board!

Hello my doula gals! I need some help. I just found out TODAY that there will be a "town hall" meeting with the Texas Medical Board on TUESDAY that is open to the public for comments on issues about medical care or the medical's boards policies. I am so thrilled to have the chance to raise some questions about the lack of VBAC support in the hospitals as well as the states rapidly rising c/s rate. Here is the thing though, I have zero experience dealing with "town hall" type meetings, and have no idea how it will go or what to expect. And what exactly should I ask? I am an ICAN chapter leader, so obviously VBACs are a passion of mine. And after that last horrid hospital VBAC I attended, it is crystal clear to me that SOMETHING needs to be done. Does anyone have any wise words for me, or care to help me get some wording down for my questions?

Do you have anything from ICAN that you can use? Perhaps expressing your fear of women having UC's due to the lack of VBAC acceptance. Having no options isn't mother-friendly, having fear of litigation effecting policy is bad practice and doesn't put the patient first. If the fact that it is unsafe to VBAC in that hospital makes it unsafe to give birth there at all.....give them some statistics. Speak your truth even if your voice shakes, fake it if your nervous, and keep your chin up! Goodluck! Wish I could be more helpful.
