Post Maternal Health Care Crisis

http://www.rhrealitycheck.org/blog/2...-health-crisis

Quote:
There can be no baser connection for all humans than pregnancy and birth. As my friend and women’s health advocate, Heidi Breeze-Harris says, “We all arrive through pregnancy.”
You’d think with this kind of reputation, prioritizing maternal health might be a no-brainer for governments around the world, and for society at large. But so far the cries for our mothers over the crisis of maternal mortality have not been loud enough to create real, lasting change.

contribute your voice at change.gov

Not suggesting that this is a end-all be-all solution (but rather part of a comprehensive, multifaceted, grassroots, bottom-up, community based approach) but the President-Elect Obama is inviting individual's voices and stories to be heard on his new website www.change.gov. I thought that mom-baby-family-community-birth advocates could weigh in on solutions to the aforementioned crisis! I plan to!

I invite you to as well!

Best,

redbird
