Best time of year to hold trainings?

It seems like alot of trainings are concentrated in the spring and then in the fall, with a few falling in summer and hardly any during winter. Is there a reason ya'll have found for this? What time of year are trainings most highly attended? I'm considering offering a training in November/December and am wondering if I'm setting myself up for a low turnout. But I also wonder if we just assume that this time is a bad time of year and don't offer training then without really knowing if it would be poorly attended. What do you think?

We usually hold our DONA trainings in April and October. This year we've had to push back the fall training till early November, and registration has been very slow.

In 8+ years we've never had to cancel a training yet, but this fall might be the first.

It's risky to host trainings around the holidays with travel and expenses related to travel, gifts and celebration of the holidays there typically isn't much left over for extras like trainings.

That's just my two cents.

Summer, people are usually busy with family travel plans and winter can be tight with money. Another factor is if people are traveling into town for the training, what will the weather be like?
