I need a mentor!

So, after this first birth I have found myself wondering how more "seasoned" doulas handle certain things. There certainly is nothing like on-the-job training in this profession! I learned so much, and I learned a lot about what else I NEED to learn.

I think I did a great job, and I feel confident taking on more clients, but I also realize that the more I experience, the more I'll learn.

I think it would be awesome if I could shadow some births, but I don't know how feasible that is. I know both doula and mom have to be open to it.

Is there some kind of mentoring "program" going on through AllDoulas? I'd love to hook up with some other doulas to at least discuss certain aspects of this role.

Maybe even a mentoring CHAT, at the very least.

LEAD ME.

We do have a Mentor category in the Marketplace. It may be worth it to post an ad detailing what you're looking for, or see if someone in your area willing to mentor has posted an ad.

I'd be willing to be an online mentor for some one who really wants one.
