So I answered my own previously asked question about doula-ing while pregnant. I jsut attended my second 24 hours birth within 2 weeks, and I m WIPED! I just recovered from my last one, and now I'm back to sheer exhaustion again, I need major which won't happen with my 4 kids wound up and happy to see meMy legs aches, my arms ache, and I'm simply blinded by exhaustion. I did get a nap,2 hours, it made it worse, lol! The birth was a successful VBAC during the exact time the mom was scheduled for her repeat c-section, so I feel like I went out with a bang! For now, I'm DONE! I will teach CB Ed Classes and Breastfeeding classes to get my fix for a long while. I HATE giving it up, but my body tells me too.

There are times and seasons to everything Ashley. Take some time, rest yourself, enjoy your pregnancy. When the time is right, you'll be back into the swing of things again. Don't wear yourself out!

I agree with the other posters. Time to rest yourself Ashley. There will be a time to get back into it. Those longs ones wipe me out and, like Michele, I'm not pregnant either. I'm just old. (Michele is not old just in case she reads this! LOL) With going to school full time I've cut my client load to 2 during this semester. And THAT is stressing me.So relax, enjoy your pregnancy! And I hope you recover quickly from this latest birth.
It's great that you have the classes to fall back on. When I took "maternity leave" from births I missed it all so much that I decided to study and became a CBE 4 weeks before my 5th munchkin was born. It's such an addictive industry Enjoy your break and wind-down to your new little person.

I'm about a month behind you, and my last birth is coming up in the next couple of weeks. My previous two births were both over 24 hours and I just cannot do that again while pregnant. I'm looking forward to teaching CBE through to the end of the pregnancy. Wahoo!

Michelle, I did the same thing! I'm pregnant with #5 and decided about two months ago to study to become a CBE and Lactation Educator and now I'm working n becoming certified, I did my trainings through Cappa two weeks ago and I'm now ready to get going with teaching! It's soooo addictive!
