The big day! ---A little announcement

I have been looking forward to tomorrow (

November 29th 2005

) for quite a while now. Not only is it a milestone in my personal life but in my professional life. I know that one year isn't much but, it is special to me. Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my

boyfriend and I.

Tomorrow is also the day I will be attending a prenatal visit with my potential client, her husband, 2.5 year old daughter, and her midwife. I am pretty nervous about meeting everyone and hope that I don't freeze up or start to shake (I shake and my teeth chatter when I become nervous sometimes) So, I am making a mental list on things I would like to talk about and I am just going to hope for the best. Along with my wonderful day tomorrow I will be attending my Labor Doula Training the 6th,7th, 9th, and 10th of December. *only 1 week away*

I'm just so excited and wanted to share it will you ladies!

Woohoo, sounds like lots of really great stuff coming up for you in your life. As far as the interview please just try to be as relaxed as possible, because if they hire you then you will be entering into a "relationship" with them so comfort is important. Just relax and I am sure you will do great!!!

I think too it will be a lesson learned...If I can't relax just meeting a group of people then how could I ask a momma to relax while laboring, eh?

wohooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I met them all and the midwives and it was just fantastic!!!

The woman's husband came in and said Hello and then "So, you're going to be our Doula!" I think this family is great and I am really excited to provide volunteer services to them. They told me that even though I am volunteering my services they are still going to pay me something. She invited me to her next prenatal appointment, they said we could all get together for dinner some night so that we can get to know each other and so that I can take a test run to their house.

I am REALLY excited and can't wait to attend classes & read the rest of the books I have.
