Wow! I am a Doula now!

Girls, I officially had my first client...recieved an e-mail today from a woman needed a doula and is due on tuesday of this week! WOW. Then I have another client in March for birth and postpartum services. This is amazing. And it is so strange how Word of mouth is really everything. A midwife I don't even know passed my name on to this woman who is due soon. *she almost didn't e-mail me because it was so late into the game*

I am so glad she did...and so excited about really being a Doula.

I want to go run off my business cards now, hehe.

Just thought I would share about my excitement.

Did I mention that I lost my DONA labor support certification package! I am so mad at myself, because now that I need all of those papers I cannot seem to find them. And I have no idea where it could have gone in my house.

Anyone had this happen?

Talking Congratulations, Cortney!!!!!

That is GREAT!!!!!! You'll have to tell us ALL about it!!!!!

Sorry to hear about your DONA Cert. packet. Are they expensive? Write down ALL the details (even times & findings of vag. exams) so that you can fill them into the proper forms whenever you find it or order another one. I know that has got to be a bummer.....

...still........YOU'RE A DOULA!!!!!!!!

Woohoo - how great on getting your client base going. As for the packet - that really stinks. Do you think you can find it or will you need to order a new one?

Get on the DONA board and ask if someone can email them to you. They used to be on the website but I think I have seen someone mention they are on the members only area now. Not sure, though. Of course, I don't know why I know all this stuff since I am with CAPPA but I did sing up for the boards before I made my decision. Anyway, someone there should be able to help you if no one here has them on the computer.

Good luck!!

My wonderful lovely fantsatic boyfriend found my cert. packet. It had gotten placed in between our records which is underneath the TV. Don't even ask, because I have no idea how it wedged itself there. An attempt at tidying up possibly?

In any case HE found the packet and now I am a much happier woman. Haha, what a valentine's day...that was the best surprise he could have given me.

I ran and jumped on top of him I was so excited. His words, "okay, I love you but I can't breath"
