CAPPA-Conference in Atlanta
There's going to be a Free CAPPA Conferene here in Atlanta on September 7-10, 2006 I don't know how many of you know that...well for the one's who live near Ga.
Even if you're not a CAPPA member is that okay to go? b/c I would like to go!

Sure, you can go!
You would need to pay $40 for a year's membership in CAPPA, as the conference is FREE to CAPPA members. You can be a member of CAPPA and not certify through them if you don't want. I have a few DONA friends who joined CAPPA for a year, so that they could go when the conference was up here in Ohio a few years ago (Cincinnatti). If you think about it, $40 is not a bad price for attending a conference! 
I'll be going, as well as some other doulas here. I hope that you do go so that we can meet you! 
For more information on the conference, look in the Alldoulas calendar for the month of September. Click on one of the conference dates for details on getting more information, joining CAPPA, and/or conference registration.

No, I won't be attending any of the workshops; I'll just be attending the main conference. I'm already a certified labor doula, and I'm currently studying for Lamaze CBE cert., so I have no extra $$ for other workshops right now.  It's going to be a blast, though. I have "met" so many people on the boards over the past year, and I'm really excited to meet quite a few of them IRL (in real life).  So...do you think you'll be going? |

I am going to go. They got a reduced rate on rooms at the hotel so they are $99. I live just far enough away that I plan on getting a room. Some ladies go up to 4 to a room to save on the $$$. I probably have one roomate but I might need others...hint hint

I am so bummed because I can't go this year. I went the past two years and had a blast, but this year I will be in school so I have to wait until 2007.

I would love to go but this year my $ is going towards training.

I want to go so bad but I have the LLL conference and I can't affort more than one out of state conference a year.  I will plan to attend next year that is for sure..
