Birthing From Within

Has anyone here taken any Birthing From Within classes?

I audited BFW classes when getting my doula cert. I LOVED it! I think BFW is a very powerful method of teaching, however for primips, I do think they need a little more of the 'nuts and bolts' as well as understanding hospital poicy/birth politics and stuff like that. I do offer discounts for people who have attended BFW. In my experience, those who have taken this method are generally the type who have sought out the other information through books, research, having a doula etc. In other words, I don't think there are many uninformed 'mainstreamers' at BFW classes.

I REALLY want to do this! My friend whom is on the board of PALS for me, whom I want to be my Doula teaches these classes and I am so going to pick her as my mentor (both when I eventually become pregnant as well as for education)
