Just for quick clarification: It's a Childbirth Educator Conference (click underlined link).

I plan on going to my local one on the 24th, since I am eager to restart my childbirth classes. This will be good to keep my motivation up, although I'm not sure how relevant the information will be for me since I assume it is geared to American lifestyle - ie American sign language and carseat saftey information. I'm an absolute addict though, so I go to every class, conference, expo, and seminar I can! LOL!

I am definitely going to that childbirth and breastfeeding fair. I am going to represent the volunteer doula program I am a part of.

I'll be at our local BRU for their breastfeeding and parenting fair. Our doula group will be there, getting the word out, since doulas are still semi-unknown around here.

I went to the one they had last year, it was great. The topics this year are much more baby oriented. Last year was a great speaker on unnecessary c-sections and another on how to teach CBE more toward dads.

It is usally a VCR tape that the BRU coordinator will put in when they are ready. Ours was in the staff lounge of the store. But there was great sub sandwiches, water (boo- it was Nestle LOL), and cookies. I think those things would depend on the coordinator for the store. We also got small tote bags that had the logo and name of the event on it.

Very easy way to get some CEUs.

after attending this event last year, I got asked to teach their Baby Basics class!

Now I feel even more bummed that I missed it. Would've been a nice way to spend a couple hours. Apparently only one person showed up for my local one, so I feel bad, hehe. I was registered to go and had plans to but one of my mamas went into labour (at 35 weeks).
