Finanical Aid?

Hello,
I am seriously wanting to go through Midwife School. CPM not CNM. Will Finanical Aid pay for this? Can you get grants and such?
Thanks
Billie

It totally depends on the school. There are NONE in my area that are accredited through the Dept of Education (which you have to do before you can accept federal aid, grants, loans).

I would just call the schools you are interested in and ask. Good luck
I ended up enrolling in a reasonably-priced distance course.

I just got an ad for a Midwifery school in the northeast somewhere. I totally forget the name. they do CPM and are eligible for finiancial aid through normal programs like FAFSA.

If I remember the name, I'll let you know.

If the school is accredited, you may be able to get financial aid. Even if it isn't accredited, you can claim tuition on your taxes in the HOPE credit, I think. Or also as business related expenses. Some schools which aren't accredited, and therefore not eligible for financial aid, do give their own scholarships and/or periodic discounts.
