Birthing From Within

Maybe this has been a topic before, but does anyone here know about Birthing From Within? Anyone planning on doing their training? I'm a big fan and am hoping to do the Level One training just as soon as I can save some dough!

I'm planning to take their training at some point. I'm doing my CBE first, then will either do Birthing from Within or get my Postpartum Doula. I love love love BFW. Reading through that book and doing the exercises on my own helped me to get over my first birth experience and gave me an awesome second birth experience.

Lightbulb I am BFW mentor!

Hi gals!
I am a certified Birthing From Within Mentor - in fact, I'm the only one in the southeast and I am an Advisor to new mentor candidates as well.

I have been with BFW for over 8 years and, personally, do not believe there's a better birth preparation philosophy. I've never met anyone who's been disappointed witht he trainings or the way the certification process works. It can be lengthy and it can be a tad expensive although costs can be written off on taxes if you have a business.

There's a lot of freedom gained in the way we approach birthing women. The philosophies you'll be mentored allow you to grow personally which, in turn, makes for a better doula and childbirth educator.

Go for it, go for it, go for it!
Barb

I LOVE the book and want to do a training for the post partum classes to help women work through their traumatic births. Right now, I'm trying to write my own cirriculum, but it is slow going.

I would absolutely love to do BFW, but don't know if I an commit that amount of money. I absolutely love their philosophy, though, and may just make it happen.
