How exciting!!! Congratulations!!!! You're soooo much closer to your dreams of being a Midwife! Wow....that's just right around the "corner"...I can't wait to hear all your stories once you get back.

Kind of OT: Dh and I went to Tijuana for the day two years ago while we were staying in San Diego. You can get some GREAT bargains there if you look for them and arent' afraid to haggle (they're insulted if you don't)!!!! They do sell a lot of junk, but if you look around, there are some very nice things, too!

I'm so happy for you, Lynne!

Wow! That is flat out awesome! One of our doulas here is going this month to do a similar apprenticeship, not sure what area though.

How cool!

During my senior year in highschool I took a trip to Mexico City, stayed with a family in Oaxaca for 4 days and finished it off at Acapulco. The best time was definately in Oaxaca with the family. We had running water, but no hot water, so the mother used to bring us up a bucket of boiled water to bathe with. I took 5 years of Spanish in school and it has helped me with a few doula clients.

Do you know any spanish?

Too funny! You know...I didn't even catch my typo until Mamabellies specifically mentioned "typo"! Come to think of it, raspberrymoondoula, I think I'd rather read your "blog", than your BLOB!!! LOL
