MTB - I'm going to do it!!

I think I've made the decision to enroll in Midwife To Be...eventually. I'm excited and scared out of my mind to have settled on which program I want to go through.

For right now I'm going to get more experience with doula work and working with my midwife. I'm also going to start collecting books as I have the $$. Then I'm hoping that sometime in the coming year to get started with the studies.

How wonderful! It is a great program. And besides being very thorough..it is flexible. There is no time limit and you pay as you go so if you decide that it isn't for you or the time isn't right, you still are getting a great value and learning a lot. I had to sell some books when cash became tight (Varneys and NARM), but I am still able to read other books and log study hours since I am enrolled. Lisa is a real sweetheart and the study/skills weekends sound like a great deal too; I hope to make it to one of them someday. South Carolina sounds like a long way for me at this point..especially when ya got a nursing baby and 4 active kiddos...but I am not ruling it out in the future; it is too awesome of a deal.

Yeah, those are some of the reasons I chose them. It's also nice knowing people who are currently in the program. I know one doula IRL who is doing it now as well.

I'm also very thankful to be friends with my midwife and that I can work with her.

Amazing how everything always falls into place!

That is great! I know that eventually I'll end up doing the same thing.. but that will be much, much later.. I want to do CBE first.. and of course doula work!
But that is great!!

Yeah!! The more midwives the better! When I told my husband I thought I wanted to be a midwife at some point in the future, he said "Of course, duh!" Good for you!!
