Doula Tea

I just wanted to tell everyone about a doula tea I attended this past weekend. Our new CAPPA GA State Rep threw a doula tea at her house and it was fantastic. Her sister is a caterer so she had 4 wonderful salads and a number of pastries to eat. And she had at least 8 different teas to choose from (her doula partner makes/sells those). I had the Due Labor Tea. It was so good and I have to say I was quite relaxed by the time it was my turn to introduce myself! lol She had contacted some companies prior to the party and had huge goody bags to send home as well as some really great door prizes to give away. It was so fun to meet people we communicate with regulary. If any of you get an invition or have a desire to throw one of these I would highly suggest it. It was well worth the 2 hour each way drive!!! In June she is throwing another one with a "bring a non-CAPPA friend" if anyone wants to join me!!!

To be honest, I was a bit envious when I read this! It's sounds so fun....so yummy......so GREAT! One of the reasons that I cannot wait to attend the September CAPPA Convention in Atlanta is to meet many of the wonderful ladies whom I've been gabbing with all this time! (including you, I hope!) Thanks for telling us about the nice Georgia get-together; I'm glad that you were able to attend and had so much fun!

I agree, Georganne. I am completely motivated to start working on one here in Columbus as soon as we get back from spring break trip next week! It was so much fun I can imagine it will be worth all of the work.
