On your brochure
Do you think that your picture should be on your brochure?

I think that I wouldn't just because I grew up in this town and am afraid of stalkers or blasts from the past. Lol My pic IS on my website, which probably doesn't make any sense given my hesitation about the brochures, but they have to make an effort to go to the website and the brochures are just out everywhere. Lol

YES!! We discussed this a bit tonight on the teleseminar with Sheri. It allows potential clients to get the feeling that they "know you" when they see your smiling face.

My picture is also on my brochure, which I just attached to a thread yesterday. You can't really see my face that well, so if you did not know who you were looking at, you wouldn't auomatically recognize me. If your scared of people you already know, you might try some kind of picture like that.

I don't have it on my brochure as there simply is no more room. I do have it on my website so that mommas can start to make a connection (and to also see that I do not have dreadlocks.)

I will say that the only reason my hubby agreed to meet with my midwife was because her picture was on her business card, and she didn't look like a scary granola cruncher. hehe

I would love to add my pic, but isn't way more expensive?

Yes, pics are great for your brochure, as Tiffany mentioned-only thing is they are way more wxpensive that way, so I wouldn't recommend it for new doulas who are just getting started and don't have a lot of $$$ to shell out. I don't have my pic because I can't afford it, but I do plan on getting it put on there when I possibly can (and when I lose some weight!! lol)

I've changed my mind. I think I would do it now. But I am waiting until we move in December to 'start over' with the whole kit n caboodle cause I'll be certified by then!!! And hopefully offering ppdoula services as well.
