Another review, please!

I'm sorry to ask you guys to look over yet another something...but do value your opinion(s)!

I came up with the idea to make little signs on card stock that can stand up that say 'May is...International Doula Awareness Month! To find out more about doulas, please take a brochure! Doulas...Mothering the Mother. Of course it would be all centered and pretty and all that jazz but you get the gyst of it. I was going to send this to all the OB offices in my area along with doula brochures with my card inside and a letter that says the following:

Dear Healthcare Provider,

May is International Doula Awareness Month. In light of this, I'm taking the opportunity to distribute information about doulas and myself, a birth doula serving the women of St. Johns County.

If you have space in your waiting room or check-out area to display this information, I would greatly appreciate it!

Should you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 599-0992.

Sincerely,
Cathy Hughes

I wanted to add something like 'thank you for all the work you do to make happy mothers and healthy babies' or something like that. Sort of as a 'peace' signal so they didn't think I was intruding on their turf or able to do something they can't (which we all know doulas do SO much more with regard to the actual labor than doctors but they have those BIG egos sometimes, too). I'm sure you all know what I'm trying to say. BUT my personal opinion is that 9/10 they ruin the experience for women, lol, so I'd kind of be lying. And I didn't want to sound to kiss-'butt'y either. Lol

Any suggestions on what I could put at the bottom so it sounds kind of like 'look forward to working with you in the future' but that doesn't upset anyone because they're appalled that I would think I was working 'with' them? I'm rambling now, Lol....help!

Thank you so much, ladies! You don't know how great it is to be able to bounce these ideas off someone who 'gets' it.

Great Idea! Be sure to do this every May to remind them all. Maybe a few years down the road, offer them an coffee and info night!

How did this idea work for you? Did you get feedback? Are you planning on doing it again next May? If so, is there anything you would change/do differently?
