Does anyone here keep a scrapbook of their clients?
I am an avid scrapbooker for my family photos, and have had a book in the works for years about my clients. Of course, only clients who have consented to the use of their photos and evaluations will be in it. Each client and their baby will have one 12" x 12" page.
I have my album, and all my photos and stuff are sorted, I just need to start creating the pages. I plan to make it available to future clients to browse through at initial consultations.
Do you have something like this? Do you scrapbook?

I've never taken up scrapbooking, but I do keep a client photo album of those giving permission. So far, everyone has consented, and I take it to Interviews so potential clients can browse through. Other than their approx. 6-10 pictures each (nothing graphic), I make a cloud-shaped name tag at the heading of each new birth's section. It's nothing fancy, but it doesn't take a lot of time to do (and simple is best for me).
example:
"Baby Emma"
Born: (Month Day, Year), _lbs. _ozs
Memorial Hospital of Union Co., Marysville, OH
Care provider: (insert Midwife/Physician's name)
Labor Doula: Lorisa Davis, CLD
The parents receive duplicates of all photos, and approve each pic before I include them in the album. They seem to appreciate it and look forward to being added! I guess that one day I'll have so many former clients that I'll only be taking the newest photo album along (I'm still working on the first one at this point).

I've thought about doing it but I haven't started yet. Right now I have a space on my desk that I keep framed photos of the babies.

Just for kicks, here is a layout I did of my husband and I after the birth of our first daughter. She was a hospital birth, epdiural at 4cm, vaginal delivery, and a med student caught her. You can tell that is pre-doula training.
It is a double 12" x 12" layout.
Note: I also wanted to show how you can attach images to your posts.

Tiffany....
Your scrapbook layout is really sweet! Very pretty..... I love that kind of thing, but just have never gotten around to being that creative.

I don't do a scrapbook of photos, but I do create a birth story of events for the births I attend and then if parents give me photos I put those in a binder along with letters of recommendation, etc. I only put those in that have consented to their use, and then when I got on interviews I will take along the book to share with the couple. Often times couples love to read the birth stories as it shows how I have worked with clients in the past.
