Answering machine greeting?

I was just wondering what you ladies have on your answering machines about doula services? I just have it say "Hi, you've reached the West residence, and Birthing Choices Doula Services.......no one is able, blah blah

I've heard that some doulas have a more detailed greeting, I was just wondering what you ladies have!

Mine says (this is on my cell phone though, not my house phone)

"You have reached Cathy and Fearless Birth Doula Services. I'm sorry I missed your call but if you leave your name, number and a brief message I will return you call as soon as possible".

I've heard some doulas have REALLY detailed msgs that ask for due date, doc, hospital, etc and other what seemed to me strange things...I figure I can get all that when I call them back. I don't want them to feel 'weeded out' before I even speak with them!

For home: "Hello, You've reached the Davis's. We're unable to answer your call, so please leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. If you are presently a Labor Doula client of Lori's, feel free to call the cell phone number that I've given you. Thanks."

Cell Phone: "Hi. You've reached Lori Davis; Please leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks."

I hardly ever use my cell phone voice mail. If I'm not answering my home phone while on-call, then I'll be answering my cell. Very few people have my cell #: Family, a few select friends, and clients...that's it. I don't get a lot of cell calls and prefer it that way.

I use my cell phone for business, my message is something like:
"Hi, you've reached (my name). I'm sorry I'm unavailable right now, but please leave a message and I will return your call as soon as I am able.
If you are calling to request an informational package to be sent out, please leave your name and mailing address.
Thank you, and have a wonderful day (said with a smile in my voice - lol)!"

Cell is my business phone and it's "Hi, you've reached Marilyn with Bellies in Bloom Doula Services. I am unable to answer my phone number, but please leave me a detailed message and I will return your call as soon as possible."

I have a separate phone for my business and my personal life. My phone rings on both my home number and my cell phone at the same time. If I miss the call my voicemail picks up and it leaves a detailed message telling people that they can call my cell phone or page me if they need me.

My conundrum is I'm also a La Leche League Leader and I get regular calls for this. My message is already long! I'm looking to pare it down AND add my business name.

Mine says:
Hi you've reached Justin & Ashley. Please leave us a message and have a great day. If you need immediate Doula services please call 844-7281 (my cell).
My cell says that you've "reached Ashley w/ Mind Over Labor please leave me a message and I will check it and call you back w/in 2 hours".
I always have it with me and if I have someone whom I know might go soon, I always tell her to call my house first. That way if I am out of range at another client's house my husband or babysitter can call me there and get me.

I'm a LLL Leader, too, and our machine is just a basic, "You've reached the Binghams'... with no other info. I haven't had a problemwith people leaving messagesor not leaving messages.

My home one says something along the lines of we're not able to get to the phone if you need to get ahold of LeAnne you can call xxx-xxxx or if you need to get ahold of Jered you can call xxx-xxxx. He's on call a lot with his job too so it's pointless for me to put any more information on there, plus I give out my cell as my business number.

My cell has a detailed message with something like if you're calling to enquire about doula services or to check availability please leave your name and telephone number here and I'll be sure to return your call shortly. Home: Hi you have reached the Smiths and Tera Smith with Mothers Touch Doula, we can't come to the phone right now..yadayada

Cell: You have reached Mothers Touch Doula, please leave your name and # and I will get back to you as soon yadayadayada
