Starting my business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My hubby gave me $500 to start my Doula business. I'm going on Tuesday to get my business liscence. I'm hoping to get the name "expectations". Then I need to have business cards made up and tri-folds. I'm going to join the doula collective, which is a local doula group, it's $75.

What else would you all suggest for start up? I'm going to advertise in our local "give away" magazines and some of the moms support newsletters.

I'm really excited and am anxious to get started. I have 6 years experience as a doula. I've done the ALACE training and the DONA one. Now I'm getting official.

Don't know if you have seen yet, but vistaprint.com has excellent deals on business cards. You can always get them free (but their logo and the phrase "Business cards are always free at vistaprint.com" is on the back of all of them). If you don't mind that and want to stay cheap, get them. In the future they will send you deals where you can get them without that for lilke 3.99? Or you can order them to begin with and pay a little more. Needless to say, I get my cards there, and they sent me a special deal and I ordered 100 postcards with my oen image uploaded for $5.00. I am basically using those as larger business cards and I can send them as regular postcards too, if needed.
